Arthur A. Marquardt, 91, of Janesville passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at Cedar Crest where he made his home for the past 2 ½ years. Arthur was born at Lima Center, Rock County on February 2, 1920, the son of William and Donna (Braithwaite)

Marquardt. He was graduate of Milton Union High School. He was a member of the U.S. Army-Air Corps having served from September 29, 1941 to October 22, 1945 and was a veteran of the European Theater. Arthur was employed as a machinist for over 35 years by Parker Pen Company. Until moving to Cedar Crest, he made his home on Russell Road, Janesville since 1955.

He is survived by 1 niece, Janet (Tom) Sveum of Janesville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Howard Marquardt and his sister, Evelyn Maltpress.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Saturday September 10th at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Erickson officiating. Burial with military rites conducted by Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Post # 1621 will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. www.henkeclarson.com.
